He's fine with it. I'm usually doing it after he's gone to sleep, out in our office/living area at my computer desk. The shift I usually book is like from midnight to 5am, but I often log in early and stay on beyond that. He sleeps with a fan on for white noise anyway, but we close the door. Sometimes he can hear me a little bit, but not enough to wake him. There have been a few times when I've taken calls during the evening before he goes to bed, or on a weekend afternoon. He just shakes his head at me.

The only rule we have is that I am not allowed to take calls when we are actually spending time together, which doesn't include just being in the same room together. Like if we're watching a movie or something, I'm not allowed to be logged in to passively receive calls. Other than that, he doesn't care at all. :)
